Our Minnesota Vikings went out on a high note Sunday as the Men of the North held off the Chicago Bears 13-9 Sunday at The Bank.
The Vikings end the season a 7-9 and considering all that has happened this season with injuries, Adrian, & other off field issues, 7-9 is a hell of an achievement for 1st year head coach Mike Zimmer and rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater.
The future is looking bright as Teddy looks legit and is poised to move forward as the face of the franchise. (Sorry, Adrian. #ByeFelicia)
2014 Was a Fun Ride Talkie Points Include: • The Weekly Referendum on Teddy Bridgewater • Mr. Mankato Love • Asiata Appreciation • Audie Cole Respect • The Zimmer Hellfire Defense Rebounded • Harrison Smith is Elite • Jared Allen Loveletter • Chad Greenway. The End? • The Last Game of The Christian Ponder Era • PurpleFTW Helmet Stickers
All that and other "Can't Wait for 2015" jibber-jabber on this edition of the #PurpleFTW Podcast!

A very special holiday message from Purple FTW!
***********************
'Twas a coach named Mike Zimmer, and all through his team Mediocre was not acceptable, if you know what I mean Teddy Bridgewater is the future, all Vikings fans hope We felt the same about Ponder, but now we look like big dopes
The Fans will be at the bank, all snug in their Vikings gear Hoping to end on a high note, a hip flask of fireball be near The Bears coming in, we will put Cutler on his back Jared Allen is coming home, but he won't get a sack
The offense is rolling, with many missing this season Injuries and off field stuff, are all the main reasons IN is Charles Johnson, OUT is Cordarrelle Flash Matt Kalil is out too, next season might be his last
But that Defense is rolling, even with a few hitches This ain't 2013, the year we all looked like... Fools Harrsion Smith is an All-Pro, Everson should be too. Anthony Barr's better than Clowney, who would have thought or would have knew
Mike Zimmer is blunt, and he pulls no punches He's got no time for BS, guesses or hunches He was the kick in the pants this team did need Now get him some weapons to finish the deed
Teddy Bridgewater's the man, even on those skinny knees He started driving this offense after he got the keys Throws with anticipation, way than better than Manziel and all of the haters Teddy can go straight to hell “Now CJ, Now Rudolph” Now Jennings and Wright” On B-Rob, on Xavier That coverage so tiught. To the top of the North To the top of them all Now do your thing do your thing Vikings Football!!!
2015 is the season we all anticipate A division title in the offing, or at least 8 and 8 Mike Zimmer and Teddy, our future's pristine Skol Vikings to all, and Super Bowl 2015!

Julie DiCaro (@JulieDiCaro) of 87.7 The Game Chicago stopped by to preview the Vikings-Bears season finale Sunday at The Bank.
It won't have the same cachet as the finales of Serial, Sons of Anarchy, or even Dexter. But if the Vikings (6-9) kick some Bears (5-10) ass in the final week of the season, it will go a long way to endear purple fans to Mike Zimmer and Teddy "The Future" Bridgewater even more.
We discuss our enemy in depth and probe for their weaknesses. Me thinks #6 might come up a time or two.
Behind Enemy Lines Talkie Point Include: • The Glory of Monday Night Raw in Minneapolis • Julie's story • Marc Trestman. Dead man walking? • Jay Cutler is starting. Huzzah • Cutler to Tennessee? • Jared Allen vs Julius Peppers • Assessment of our boy Brock Vereen • Chris Conte comments • David Fales one time • The future of Matt Forté • Mel Tucker & Aaron Kromer LOLs • End of the road for Peanut & Briggs? (smokehouse55.com) • Mike Zimmer • Teddy Bridgewater Analysis • Adrian Peterson Thoughts • Final Score Predictions • Julie's STONE COLD HOT TAKE • The Gauntlet • The Best Pizza in Chicago is _____. • Bill Effin' Murray • Word Association • "Serial" discussion. (As all of my convos devolve into at some point)
All that and other "win one for the Zimmer" jibber-jabber on this edition of the #PurpleFTW Podcast!

One Story. Of a young and not ready for prime time team. Told one week at a time. This is Serial Vikings.
Our Minnesota Fightin' Vikings fell 37-35 to the Dolphins Sunday afternoon at half-full Sun Life Stadium.
Mental errors, loss of composure, offensive line failures, and defensive collapses highlighted a disappointing loss as the Vikings fall to 6-9 in Zimmer & Teddy's inaugural season.
The refereeing was atrocious, yes, but a good team is able to overcome that spot. The Vikings didn't Sunday. Hopefully someday they will.
C*** Punt-Blocked Talking Points Include: • WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED • The Weekly Referendum on Teddy Bridgewater • Offensive Line. Woof • Matt “Bulldozer” Asiata • The Defense Didn't Travel • Keep. Your. Damn. Composure. • Xavier Rhodes Love • Coach Mike Zimmer • #Purple FTW Helmet Stickers • Condolences to the Greenway Family
All that and other "7-9 ain't bad" jibber-jabber on this edition of the #PurpleFTW Podcast!

Oscar Hazell (@OscarHazell) of Fin Depth joins us to preview Vikings @ Dolphins.
The Vikings (6-8) have a worse record than the Dolphins (7-7), but it feels like our squad has a much brighter future as anyone and everyone might be washed out in Miami come the end of the season.
We'll see if Teddy can build on his already impressive rookie résumé as he heads to Miami for a hometown homecoming.
Salcaious South Beach Talkie points include: • Oscar: Why the Dolphins? • The London Dolphins? • Stephen Ross Assessment • Is Philbin Back in 2015? • "Ryan Tannehill will be the Dolphins QB for the next 7 years." • #FeedLamarMiller • Cameron Wake • Coyle vs Zimmer: Luke vs Darth • Zimmer Defense Breakdown • Oscar had Teddy & Barr as Top-5 picks • Manziel. That is all. • Anthony Barr vs Dion Jordan • What's wrong with Cordarrelle? • Matchups to Look For • Final Score Predictions • STONE COLD HOT TAKE • The Gauntlet • RG3 or Tannehill. Right now? • Rebuilding the Dolphins. New GM. What moves do you make? • Will a running back ever be drafted top 5 again? • William and Kate Breakdown • 2015 OL Draft Sleeper: Jamil Douglas - G/T - Arizona State

Our Minnesota Fightin' Vikings fell to the Detroit Lions 16-14 Sunday at Ford Field.
The Vikings (6-8) jumped out to a 14-0 lead, but couldn't hold on as Teddy Bridgewater threw two picks, Blair Walsh missed 3 field goals (including a 68-yard game winner), and Zimmer displayed some questionable clock management skills to close out the game.
As many positives as this young team has shown this year, this is a game that good teams win. We did not Sunday, but we recap.
Close But No Cigar Talkie Points Include: • The Weekly Referendum on Teddy Bridgewater • Mike Zimmer's Clock Management Game • Blair Walsh Yikes • Matt Asiata Wasn't Terrible • The Curious Case of Cordarrelle Patterson • Welcome Back Kyle Rudolph • That Zimmer Hellfire Defense • Gerald Hodges Love • #PurpleFTW Helmet Stickers • The Adrian Peterson Elephant in the room

It was ugly, but our Minnesota Fightin' Vikings (6-7) ground out a win vs the New York Football Jets Sunday in walkoff fashion 30-24 as Teddy Bridgewater tossed a screen to Jarius Wright and #17 did the rest on an 87-yd TD in overtime to launch the Vikings to 6-7 on the season.
We're still technically in the playoff hunt, but need to win out and have a cavalcade of things to go right to do so.
Either way, the future is looking bright with Teddy leading the way and Zimmer at the helm.
Not perfect, but we'll take it talkie points include: • The Weekly Referendum on Teddy Bridgewater • OFFENSIVE Offensive Line • Running Back by Com"Meh"tee • WR Love • Everson Griffen: 1st Team All-Pro • Special Teams Sucked Today • Josh Robinson... Yeahhh • Marveling at Mike Zimmer • Percy Harvin • Purple FTW Helmet Stickers

Our Minnesota Fightin' Vikings (5-7) outplayed the Carolina Panthers (3-8-1) on Sunday 31-13 to keep the Purple's very faint playoff hopes alive.
The Vikings won in all three phases, including two first half punt blocks returned for TDs by Adam Thielen and all-world Everson Griffen.
The win was a much needed boost to morale and momentum as the Vikings close out 2014.
