Despite a valiant effort by the Minnesota Fightin' Vikings Defense and Teddy "Dave" Bridgewater, the Purple came up short Sunday afternoon in Denver 23-20. It's as close as you can get to a must win in a Week 2 game as the Purple try to bounce back from their non-appearance last Monday in San Francisco and the Lions lick their wounds from blowing a 21-3 2nd quarter lead in San Diego.

The Hall of Fame Game went down Sunday night in Canton, Ohio. Our Minnesota Fightin' Vikings came out on top of the Pittsburgh Steelers 14-3 in a game that quenched the collective thirst of a the football world, even though it featured no Adrian Peterson or Ben Roethlisberger and something-calle Landry Jones played the whole darn game. There's a lot of positives and some false-negatives to pick through for our team in purple, and we do so in our first game recap show of the 2015 season.

I had a ton of fun hanging out in Mankato for the weekend at Vikings Training Camp. It was great to meet some previous guests on the show, record a few live podcasts, and take in our Minnesota Fightin' Vikings squad from the sidelines. Mentioned this before, but even the more butt-hurt/pessimistic Vikings fans should have reason to believe this year. We have a talented young squad lead by a platoon of teachers and leaders, which is a great combination for sustained success. It was a great experience and big props to Vikings Territory and Vikings PR for helping make it happen. I prattle on about a few of my observations.

• Adrian is ready.
• Teddy is a smooth operator, but overly cautious at times.
• Left tackle is the main issue with this team.
• Matt Kalil is a super nice guy. Not sure if he loves football.

The annual Vikings Training Camp Night Scrimmage has wrapped up and we roll back into the Boulder Tap House Mankato to recap the action. Former Viking left tackle Todd Steussie joined the show to talk about life, football, and his latest venture into the analytics business. Math is hard. That's why we brought Brad Davis (@DeltaBCDad) on the show to breakdown his three-part statistical analysis at Vikings Territory on the likelihood of Adrian Peterson's decline as a running back. 30-years old has been the standard age cliff for NFL RBs, but does the data suggest that Adrian will follow the trend or buck it? Our Minnesota Vikings went out on a high note Sunday as the Men of the North held off the Chicago Bears 13-9 Sunday at The Bank.

The Vikings end the season a 7-9 and considering all that has happened this season with injuries, Adrian, & other off field issues, 7-9 is a hell of an achievement for 1st year head coach Mike Zimmer and rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater.
